Great article Scott! Sometimes I wish I could scream to the world that Network Marketing is the answer! But as we both know the people have to be ready to take on and actually hear that message :) .

Having children is what pretty much forced me into entrepreneuership. I didn’t want to be away from them all day so I dived in and never looked back. Had a few bumps along the road but nevertheless I’m here today and so happy to be in the industry. Yay for you for doing the same too!

That is so true Roz – I just want to scream as well. Once you ‘cross over’, you want everyone to find what you have found because of the reward it’s given you. I’m really proud and happy for you that you made the shift and are able to be at home more with your children. Great for you and keep up the great entrepreneurship – it’s a privilege to know you and to be learning from you!

    Scott,

This article resonated with me in so many ways. I recently downloaded your FREE Report on changing the mindset from a job mentality to that of an entrepreneur. It was short, to the point and simplified things for me.

I am currently working in the health care industry which is undergoing massive change. My hospital is seeing fewer patients and with so many uninsured people, it is challenging to deliver care without cutting expenses. I too have felt like I want to holler and throw up both my hands. But, I don’t.

I have a real love for writing and call myself The Passionate Writer. Writing, & inspiring women is my dream and what I want to pursue through Network Marketing and Internet Marketing. I know the rewards are there, and your posts are encouraging to let me know I am on the right path.

I will definitely share this post and visit your blog often. Thanks -

Hi Inez, glad you enjoyed the report and I hope you come back often. If you really like writing, I would also suggest a book called ‘Hypnotic Writing’ by Joe Vitale. He takes something you love and makes it so much easier to do.

Scott, I admired the excellent webinar you taught a month or so ago, and I can see how your technical skills serve well in your new career. The important subject you write about here should not be taken lightly. I would not recommend to anyone who has a good job to quit before they are sure that they have either built a solid business part-time or learned enough to be able to start “cold turkey.” Sometimes recruiters lead people to expect to get rich quick. This is more like growing a farm.

I “crossed over” during the 1970′s, transitioning from college teaching to management consulting and then to network marketing. As Robert Frost wrote, “I took the path less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” All things considered, I am very glad for the freedom!

It should be noted that I made a lot of sacrifices before succeeding in MLM. Most people really could succeed in MLM, but they are NOT willing to pay the price of success. (The “price” includes so many components that, for the sake of brevity, I won’t elaborate here.)

Fortunately, it is possible to earn while we learn in this profession, IF we are coachable.” The first thing to learn is that it is a “team sport.” The fact that teachers and nurses do much better in MLM than sales or marketing professionals is a clue. This about nurturing and leveraging not only your downline, but also your upline.

Hi Buddy – thanks so much for the great comment and information. I just wrote a post on putting ‘TEAM into ‘Entrepreneur’ that talks to your last point. You put that very well. Check it out if you are interested: http://www.theunifiedtribe.com/blog/put-team-into-entrepreneur/. I appreciate your insight and experience and I look forward to heading over to your blog and seeing what you have going on. Thanks again, Scott.
